These biscuits are rich, chewy and buttery tasting – perfect with a cup of tea. They are also really quick to make and bake in just 12 minutes!
100 grams vegan margarine
100 grams light muscovado sugar
1 tablespoon golden syrup
150 grams self-raising flour
1 handful of raisins
Preheat the oven to 180 celcius
Beat the margarine and sugar until fluffy. Stir in the golden syrup.
Work in the flour and raisins with your hands to form a dough.
Divide into 14 balls and space them out on a baking sheet. There is no need to flatten them.
Bake until golden brown. This takes around 12 minutes in my oven but keep an eye on them after 10 minutes. Let them cool completely before eating. Enjoy!
